Man, I don't know about you guys, but Sarah Palin sure seems ambitious, extremely amibtious.  She thinks she can run for President in 2012 (if God keeps that door open)??!!

Where's the liberal media to point this out when you need it.

What does the clothes say about Palin and the RNC?

I would like to think the issue irrelevant, but who am I or her or anyone to decide what the public finds relevant?  She promised to be a reformer, a Republican who took on the "good-old" boys of her party and partisan pork.  Yet upon her arrival at the RNC had no problem wearing the expensive garb purchased for her and her family, is that someone I expect to stand up to the gifts and perks that would be thrown at her if elected to VP?  No.

It was the RNC and Republican aides who were embarrassed about her "Wasilla-hillbilly" roots (and would later scape-goat for their loss), and took great lengths to hide it from the suburban-moms she was to attract.  How did the clothes cost $150,000?  Well duh, it was inflated business to give back Republican donors.  Sounds like the good-old boys pulled another fast one on Palin.  So much for reform.

The Republican “base” has been wolfing down helping after super-sized helping of hate speech. This weeks menu has featured “Socialist Surprise”, “Tax Misinformation Tartare” and “Flaming Terrorist Sympathizer” with a side of fear-mongering. After second and third helpings of this frenzied repast, and after loosening their belts, and pushing themselves back from the table, they’re somehow still not satisfied. Man, these guys can EAT! A little dessert to top it all off perhaps? How about a little cookie or something? And leave it to Super Sarah….she makes one heck of a cookie.

On the economy:

With the global stock markets getting slammed (the Dow is down 660 points as I write), it is clear that the Wall Street Bailout was not enough or really about the real problems we face. We need HOLC and we need a new New Deal.

Shameless, clueless Sarah Palin, speaking at a Florida rally today, did her Obama the terrorist-sympathizer schtick, leading one supporter in the audience to yell "Kill Him!"

Now I listened to the debate on C-SPAN radio, but if this is true it's yet another double-standard Republicans are allowing their vice-presidential candidate only because she is a Republican woman:

It makes sense she doesn't respond to Biden, because she's not paying attention.  Note in the background when Biden is speaking that Palin is furiously studying and flipping her cards.  She's still cramming.  During the  debate. How insulting.

I like how Biden praised Palin for the windfalls tax on oil companies, so did I.

A stock "maverick" answer

She is asked about her Achilles heel--her inexperience.  In "response," she talks about "being a mom," worrying about "kids heading off the college." And she pivots into her litany of platitudes.

Biden, in response to the same question, answers it with humility, acknowledging that he is passionate and then transitioning into his accomplishments.

Biden counters Palin's "mom" argument by citing his life story, and describing how he was there for his family when his wife died and he had to stand vigil by his child's hospital bed. Biden teared up, clearly emotional.

Palin's response? A stock "maverick" answer.

One of many great lines from Biden tonight: McCain's hasn't been a maverick on the issues that matter.  Sums it all quite nicely.

Gaffe 1: Sarah Palin: It's a toxic mess on Main Street?

Sustainable Energy is the future, not drilling.

Conserving through efficiency...reducing CO2.

I agree with Biden, the way to go is efficiency, not new drilling in extremely difficult to drill regions.

Coal and Nuclear have received far more government subsidies than alternatives...

Palin is slick, but the devil is in the details and in reality I don't think she's changed all that much in Alaska and I don't think John McCain will change Washington (already being there decades).

So both candidates did what they had to do: Palin didn't break down and Biden didn't patronize. 

Bush is still President, I don't know if refering to his policies is "the past".  Palin swerved from the issues the most, injecting "There you go again".
